If a student is playing games or accessing content that isn’t related to class, depending on the device type, you can manage this in Classwize by:

If approved activities are flagged or Blocked

If a student’s activity is relevant to class but they are often flagged or blocked from accessing the content, you can:

  • Contact your school IT Support about adjusting filtering policies.
  • Use Allow Rules, Rewards, or Bypass Codes to allow access temporarily.
  • If they are blocked during a Focus session, share a list of the approved resources with your students.

If there is a lot of background activity

You can safely ignore most background activity, such as ads, embedded content, or printers. However, if you notice suspicious activity, such as VPN use or hotspotting, contact your school’s IT Support.
