This article will help you troubleshoot issues with using Invitation Codes in Classwize.
Before you begin
- You must have access to Invitation Codes and Modify Students in Classwize.

If you can't access this feature, contact your school's IT Support for permission.

Common issues
My Invitation Code doesn’t work
- Make sure you have given students the correct code for the correct classroom.
- If it still doesn’t work, regenerate a new Invitation Code and share it with your students.
Students can no longer access the classroom with the Invitation Code
- Regenerate the Invitation Code and provide the new code to your students.
- Each code is valid for one hour.
Invitation Code doesn’t work for remote students
If remote students can’t join your class using an Invitation Code:
- Generate a new Invitation Code and share it.
- Add the student manually to the classroom.
I can’t see the screen of a student who joined with an Invitation Code
If you can’t view a student’s screen after they join:
- Wait a few moments while the connection establishes.
- Refresh the Class View page.
- Try adding the student through the Modify Students feature.
- Confirm that the student has Linewize Connect installed on their device or Chrome browser. You can’t see screens without Connect installed.
