Check Screen Recording permissions for macOS devices

If a student uses a macOS device and their student tile shows a blank desktop or a “waiting for student activity” error, the Screen Recording permissions may not be on.

To check the Screen Recording permissions:

  1. On their device, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen & System Audio Recording.
  2. Ensure that Screen & System Audio Recording is allowed for “classroom.plugin" or "fc-system-service_darwin-amd64”. 

If the permission is showing correctly, but you are still experiencing issues, contact Linewize Support.
