Use Screen Share with Focus

There are two ways you can use Screen Share with Focus in Classwize:

  1. Start Focus, then Screen Share
    • If you start a Focus session and then share your screen, students will stay focused on the allowed sites while viewing the Screen Share.
    • If a student closes the Screen Share tab, you can add them back.

  2. Start Screen Share, then Focus
    • If you share your screen first and then start Focus, students will still see the Screen Share while staying restricted to the focused sites.
    • If a student closes the Screen Share tab, you can add them back.

In both cases, Focus mode blocks students from navigating to other websites.

Tip

Keep students focused on your Screen Share by creating a Focus Plan with a placeholder URL (such as screenshare.com) and clear the Open tab checkbox on the Focus panel. Apply the Focus Plan before or after you start the Screen Share.
