You can create a Focus or use an existing Focus Plan to ensure your students stay on task during class. You can edit or end the Focus from your Classroom toolbar.
Create a New Focus
- On the Classwize Dashboard, select the class for which you want to set the Focus Plan.
- On the Classroom toolbar, select Class Tools, then Focus and the Focus Library panel will open.

- Select Create Focus.
- (Optional) Select Save this focus to my library, then enter a Name to create a Focus Plan. Focus plans are saved in your Focus Library and can be set for multiple classes.
Important
If you do not save the Focus to your library, the Focus settings will disappear if you end the Focus in your class.
- In the Resources field, enter a resource you want your students to focus on.
Tip
You can enter as many resources as you need for your class.
- Select Preset Focus (Class not active) or Apply Focus (Class is active).
Use an Existing Focus Plan
- On the Classwize Dashboard, select the class for which you want to set the Focus Plan.
- On the Classroom toolbar, select Class Tools, then Focus and the Focus Library panel will open.
- Select the Focus Plan from the list.
- (Optional) Edit the Focus Plan.
Warning
If you edit a Focus Plan, it will change for every class in which it is set.
- Select Preset Focus (Class not active) or Apply Focus (Class is active).
