This article can help you resolve some common Focus Plan problems. If these troubleshooting steps don’t resolve your issue, contact your school IT Support.
Important
Focus Plans in Classwize override all Classwize Rules, except for App Controls. While a Focus Plan is active, any App Controls set before will remain in place.
Focus Plan name longer than 20 characters
Each Focus Plan name must be 20 characters or fewer. To resolve this:
- Review and shorten the Focus Plan name: Ensure your Focus Plan name is concise. Remove any emojis, as these can add unnecessary characters. Use abbreviations if necessary.
Conflict with Locked Policies
If you add a resource blocked by a Locked Blocked Policy, you will receive the following error message:
Resources with locked rules are not allowed to be added. Please remove the highlighted resource to continue.
This occurs because Locked Policies are set by your school IT Support to enforce specific policies that can’t be overridden. To resolve this:
- Review and delete the highlighted resource: Locate and delete the resource in your Focus Plan that caused the error.
If you believe the Locked Policy needs adjustment, contact your school IT Support for further help.
More than 30 Focus Plans in the Focus Library
If you have 30 Focus Plans in your Focus Library, Classwize greys out the option to create additional Focus Plans. Additionally, if you try to Save a Focus to My Library within a class, the checkbox will be greyed out. To resolve this:
- Review and delete your Focus Plans: Check your Focus Library and identify any plans you no longer need, then select Delete.
