Schedule a session to automatically start and stop a class on the same day and time until you change its schedule. For example, if you schedule a session for Monday from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM, it will run every Monday during that time.
Before you begin
- You must have access to Schedule Class in Classwize.
- Ensure the class is not in Monitor Only Mode.
Warning
If you get an Unable to add schedule due to time restrictions set by your school error , contact your school's IT Support.
Add schedules
- Select Scheduling (calendar icon) on the relevant class tile.
- If no schedule exists for the class, select Create Class Schedule. Otherwise, select Add New Schedule.
- Select the Day, then enter the Start time, End time and End date.
- Select the Active toggle to turn on the schedule.
- Select Save (tick icon).
- To add more schedules, select either Add New Schedule or Duplicate (overlapping papers), then enter the new Day, Start time, or End time.
Note
Schedules for the same class can’t overlap. To fix overlapping schedules, adjust the Start time or End time.

Edit active scheduled sessions
You can change the end time of a currently active session within the class. Select the Class until button on the toolbar and update the end time.
The new end time won’t apply if the class is running, but will apply to future sessions.
Edit inactive scheduled sessions
You can edit a scheduled session while the class is inactive or not in session.
- Select Scheduling (calendar icon) on the class tile.

- Select Edit (pencil icon) on the schedule.
- Edit the Day, Start time, End time, End date or use the Active toggle to pause or resume the schedule.
- Select Save (tick icon).
Note
- Editing schedule from Scheduling (calendar icon) will not affect a class that’s currently active. The changes will take effect the next time that schedule runs.
- Turning the Active toggle off won’t stop a class that has already started. It only prevents future sessions from running until the toggle is turned back on.
