One Classwize class can manage one student at a time. If another class manages your student when you start a class, you can claim them to take control over their activity and apply your Classwize rules.
You can claim students in two ways:
- Individually from the Student tile
- From a banner where you can claim one or more students at once.
For more information, see Claim Student Overview.
Identify students who are managed elsewhere
Look for a message indicating the student is managed by another class or teacher.
You may see:
- [X] students managed by another class at the top of the Classwize class.
- Currently managed by [Teacher's Name] on the Student tile.
Claim multiple students via the banner
- In an active Classwize class, select View Details in the top banner.
