Claim Student helps you take clear control of the students in your class, so you can teach without interruptions from conflicting rules or unexpected blocking. This ensures that the rules you set for your class work reliably, removing any confusion about which class is affecting a student’s internet access.
How Claim Student works
To maintain a consistent learning environment, each student’s device is active for only one class session at a time.
If a student is already being managed in another class, you’ll see this directly in Classwize. You can then claim the student for your class.
When you claim a student:
- Your class takes control and immediately applies your rules and policies.
- The other class’s rules and policies no longer apply to that student.
