You can remove students within a class or from the My Classes Dashboard to reflect who is present on the day. If you remove students from a Synced or Combined class, Classwize will temporarily remove them, but they will be added again at the next daily sync if they are still listed in the sync source.
Important
- You can have 100 students per class or 50 in a Monitor Only Mode classroom.
- Changes made to Local or Monitor Only Mode Classrooms are saved. In Synced or Combined classes:
- Student additions persist.
- Student removals reset at the daily sync if the sync source still lists the student.
Before you begin
- You must have access to Modify Students in Classwize.

If you can't access this feature, contact your school's IT Support for permission.
Remove students within a Classroom
- In the Classroom, select Class Tools > Modify Students.
- Select the X icon next to the student's name you want to remove.

Remove students from the My Classes Dashboard
- On the My Classes Dashboard, select the Modify Students icon for the relevant Class tile. The Modify Students window will appear.
- Select the X icon next to the student's name you want to remove from the class.
