Open a webpage for students during class

The Open Site tool in Classwize lets you quickly direct the entire class or individual students to a specific webpage in a new browser window or tab. You can use Open Site with a YouTube link to open the video in full-screen without ads.

  Tip

If you need to restrict students’ internet access to a set of approved resources, use the Focus tool.

Use Open Site

Open Site for all students

  1. In an active class, select Open Site from the Class Tools menu.
  2. In the Website URL field, enter the webpage address.
  3. Select Open Site.
    Note
    Students can close the tab or go to a different website.

Open Site for a specific student

  1. In an active class, find the specific student tile and select the Open Site (browser tab icon).
  2. In the Website URL field, enter the webpage address.
  3. Select Open Site.
