Info
Focus is an optional feature that may not be turned on at your school. If you can’t see the Focus Library button on your Classwize Dashboard, contact your school’s IT support.
You can use Focus to keep students on task during class by setting specific resources that students can use while blocking all other internet browsing.
Tip
If you want to block access to Windows apps, contact your school’s IT Support to turn on Native App Controls.
Using Focus
You can start a Focus during any active class or preset Focus to start automatically when your class begins. A Focus will turn off after class ends and remain set in your class until you stop or remove it.
You can:
- Set a Focus for a specific class.
- Create a Focus Plan to use with multiple classes.
- Edit the Focus or Focus Plan at any time.
- Stop or remove a Focus at any time.
- Delete a Focus Plan if you no longer need it.
- Use Screenshare with Focus.
Types of resources
You can add as many resources as you need to a Focus, such as:
- Websites (for example, www.khanacademy.org)
- Signatures and applications (for example, Khan Academy)
- URLs (for example, www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-fifth-grade-math or www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg7upL8GL7Y)
