To ensure that your Classwize rules are set up correctly, you should test your rules before your class begins.
1. Create Rules in advance
You can create rules for a class even when the class is not in session so you can set up and adjust your rules in advance.
2. Check for duplicate Rules
If you try to create a rule that already exists, you'll see an error message A rule for [resource] already exists.
3. Check against Locked Rules
If a resource is affected by a locked policy in School Manager, Classwize will notify you with a Locked rule error message to prevent you from creating rules that won't work due to existing school-wide policies.
4. Resolve Conflicts
If a resource is blocked by another rule, you'll receive a [Resource] is currently blocked error message. You must edit the rule before it becomes an issue during class.
5. Understand Limitations
It's always a good idea to double-check your rules and run a few tests to ensure everything works as expected. While Classwize provides robust checks to ensure your rules are effective, it has some limitations regarding what it can verify before the class starts.
