Allow a resource and block its parent category or theme

Classwize can’t block or allow individual resources and block its parent category or theme. If you add a rule for a specific resource, such as a URL, it will automatically apply to the entire domain. The best way to allow a resource but block its parent category or theme, is to use the Focus feature.

Important

Focus overrides all Classwize rules and School Manager policies, except Locked Blocked policies. If you have focused the students on a resource, but they still can’t access it, contact your school's IT Support for assistance.
