Classwize lets you customise your My Classes dashboard by pinning, hiding and unhiding class tiles. You can also rename your classes at any time.
Pin class
Pinning bookmarks classes so they always appear at the top of your My Classes dashboard. Class tiles are ordered alphanumerically in ascending order, by numbers then letters. You can pin as many classes as you want.
You can pin classes:
- From the class tile.
- While renaming a class.
- While adding a new class.

Unpin class
To unpin a class, select the Unpin Class icon on the pinned class tile. The class will move to the OTHER CLASSES panel.
Hide or unhide class
You can declutter your My Classes dashboard by hiding or unhiding unpinned classes. Select the OTHER CLASSES panel to hide the classes, then select it again to show them.
Rename class
You can rename your classes to make it easier to identify and organise them. Renaming also lets you correct errors in class names.
- Select the Rename Class icon on the class tile.
- Enter the new class name in the New class name field.
- You can use up to 50 characters, including letters, numbers, special characters, and spaces.
- Classwize alerts you if the name already exists.
- Select Save.
Tip
- You can rename all class types, including Local, Synced, and Monitoring classes.
- The original or previous name still appears in Class Settings. This helps you track the history of name changes and gives your school’s IT Support a reference if you need troubleshooting.
- If you sync classes, Classwize keeps your new names. They do not revert to the old ones from Google Classroom.
