Focus helps your students stay on task by restricting their internet access to just the resources you specify. These resources can be websites, URLs (webpages) and Signatures.
- Start your class in Classwize.
- On the Classroom toolbar, select Class Tools > Focus, the Focus Library panel will open.
- Select Create Focus.
- (Optional) Select Save this focus to my library if you want to reuse it in the future.
- In the Resources search bar, enter the resource you want students to Focus on. You can enter a:
- website (for example, khanacademy.org)
- Signature (for example, Khan Academy)
- URL (for example, https://www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-fifth-grade-math or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg7upL8GL7Y)
Tip
If you are unsure of the exact website, Signature or URL of the resource, enter a keyword and select from the available options. You can add multiple Focus URLs, Signatures and sites.
- (Optional) Clear the Open tab checkbox if you don’t want Classwize to open the selected resource in a new tab for the students.
- Select Apply Focus.
