Syncing With Google Classroom

This article is for Teachers.

If you have access to change your Google Classroom, you can update Classwize with the most recent version of your class and students by running the sync.

If you do not have access to make changes in Google Classroom, you can add or remove students from your class using Classwize: Class Tools > Modify Students. Any changes you make will be undone the next time Classwize syncs with Google Classroom. If you need to add or remove students from your class permanently, contact your school’s IT Support for help.

Important

If you do not see the Sync button, check with your school’s IT Support to request this feature be turned on. You can only sync imported classes, not local classes.

Syncing your classroom

  1. In Classwize, ensure you don’t have any active classes (classes in session), including Monitoring classes.
  2. On the My Classes toolbar, select Sync.

Info

The sync will run and may take up to a few minutes.

  1. Confirm there are no active classes.
  2. Refresh your browser.
  3. Try syncing again.
  4. If you get the same error message again, contact your school's IT Support.
