Some Classwize features for teachers are not currently available at every school. The features available at your school depend on:

How your school has configured Classwize.

What types of devices your students use.

If Linewize Connect for Windows or Mac, or Connect Chrome extension has been installed on your students’ devices.
- If the device is connected to a School Manager Hardware Protected Network.
This guide outlines which Classwize features are available to teachers when:

Students are on a School Manager Hardware Protected Network during School Hours

Students are off a School Manager Hardware Protected Network during School Hours
NOTE
You need a license to access Classwize‘s classroom management features including Class Tools; Screenshot History and Student Journey Reports, and Rules. If you don’t have access to these features, contact your school’s IT administrator for assistance.
Definitions
- On a School Manager Hardware Protected Network: The device is connected to your school’s network that is protected by a Linewize appliance and has an internet connection.
- Off a School Manager Hardware Protected Network: The device is connected to the Internet through a network that your school doesn’t run. For example, the student may be at home or using their phone’s mobile data service to access the internet.

During School hours: The period of the day when students are normally at school.
NOTE
Your school can configure school hours on Configuration > Objects > Time Periods and enable it on the Classwize Configuration page.
