Arrange student tiles in your class

You can create a custom view of student tiles to suit how you teach, such as a seating plan, learning groups or a co-teaching setup. Once you save it, your custom view appears every time you open the class.

Before you begin

• You must have access to a class in Classroom Manager.

Create a custom view

1. On the My Classes Dashboard, select your class.

2. Drag the student tile to the position you want. Empty seats appear while you drag to show where you can place the student tile.

3. Repeat for each student you want to move.

4. Select Save.

Make room for more student tiles

• More columns: use the tile size slider above the student tiles to make student tiles smaller.

• More rows: drag a student tile further down the page.

Pin students to the top

Select the pin icon on a student tile to move it to the pinned section at the top of your screen. For more information, see Pin a Student's Tile.

Edit your view

1. Drag student tiles to their new positions.

2. Select Save.

Reset to auto-sort

Auto-sort shows student tiles with student activity first, followed by other students in alphabetical order by surname.

1. Above the student tiles, select Reset to auto-sort.

2. In the Reset layout to auto-sort? window, select Reset to auto-sort to confirm.
