You can end a Tab Limit if you no longer require it.
Before you begin
You must have access to Tab Limit in Classwize.
Students must use a Chromebook or a Windows device in Companion Mode.
Students must have Linewize Connect for Chrome 3.7.5 or later installed and active on their device.
Students must use a Supported browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge) for the limit to be enforced.
End a Tab Limit
Note
Tab limits automatically end as soon as class sessions finish.
Go to your class that has an active Tab Limit.
Select the End Tab Limit button (X icon) within the Tab Limit module.
What happens when a Tab Limit ends
Students are no longer blocked from opening additional tabs.
Tabs that closed while the limit was active don't reopen. Tab Limit closes tabs rather than hiding them, so Classroom Manager has nothing to restore. Students need to reopen those pages themselves.
This is different from Focus. On Chromebooks and Windows devices in Companion Mode, tabs open before a Focus starts are hidden and reappear when the Focus ends.
