This article is for Teachers.
Info
If you can't access this feature, contact your school's IT Support for permission.
You can give students a Bypass Code to allow uninterrupted learning or access to any website not Locked Blocked by your school. While only one code can be generated at a time, multiple students can use it. Students can enter the code on the Block page or at my.linewize.net.
Important
- Use Bypass Codes with caution. They allow any user with the code to access any site or application not Locked Blocked by your school for up to three hours.
- Bypass Codes do not work with Focus. Activating Focus will override any temporarily allowed access granted by a Bypass Code and you can’t generate a Bypass Code while Focus is active.
- If your school’s IT Support has turned on Block Only Rule Mode, you can’t make Bypass Codes.
Create a Bypass Code
- In the Classroom, select Class Tools > Bypass Code. The Bypass Code dialog will appear.
- Using the Bypass Duration dropdown, select the duration of the Bypass Code.
- Note down the Bypass code and select Start.
- The Bypass Code button will appear on your toolbar, indicating the code is now active.
Info
If a student uses a Bypass Code and can't access the desired website, the site has been Locked Blocked. Your school’s IT support team can only unblock these.
