You can manage your profile settings in Classroom Manager from My Account settings. These settings apply to your account and stay the same across your classes, browser sessions and devices.
From Account settings, you can:
- Change your Chat display name.
- Set your preferred time format (12-hour or 24-hour)
- Set your preferred language (English or Spanish)
Before you begin
- You must be signed in to Classroom Manager.
- Chat Settings only show if you have access to Chat in Classroom Manager.
Change your Chat display name
By default, your Chat display name is the username or email address you use when signing in to Classroom Manager. Students see this name when you send them a chat message.
- In Classroom Manager, select the avatar icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select My account settings.
- In the Chat username field, enter your preferred display name.
- Minimum: 1 character
- Maximum: 80 characters
- Allowed: letters, numbers, spaces, and special characters
- Select Save.
Set your time format preference
Classroom Manager uses the 12-hour time format by default (for example, 3:00 PM). You can switch to 24-hour time (for example, 15:00) in your account settings.
- In Classroom Manager, select the avatar icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select My account settings.
- Turn on the Use 24-hour time toggle.
- Select Save.
Tip
- When the toggle is turned on, Classroom Manager displays and accepts times in 24-hour format.
- When the toggle is turned off, Classroom Manager uses the 12-hour time format.
Set your language preference
You can set your preferred language (English or Spanish) from your account settings.
- In Classroom Manager, select the avatar icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Select My account settings.
- In the Preferred Language dropdown menu, select your preferred language (for example, Spanish).
- Select Save.
