In Classwize, you can create a Block rule to prevent a student from accessing content. The speed at which the rule takes effect depends on the type of Connect the student has and whether you are blocking web-based content or a Windows application.
Connect type | Block rule will take effect | Student experience |

Chrome Extension |
Immediately | They will receive a prompt on their screen, “Tab was closed when your teacher blocked it”. |
Windows/macOS |
Until the student opens a new page or the page refreshes. | They will receive the “Content Blocked” notification on their browser. |
Window (application) | Up to 60 secs | The application will force close, and they will receive a prompt on their screen, “[Application] is blocked”. |
