What to expect when a Block rule is turned on

This article is for Teachers. 

In Classwize, you can create a Block rule to prevent a student from accessing content. The speed at which the rule takes effect depends on the type of Connect the student has and whether you are blocking web-based content or a Windows application.

Connect type Block rule will take effect Student experience

Chrome Extension

Immediately They will receive a prompt on their screen, “Tab was closed when your teacher blocked it”.

Windows/macOS

Until the student opens a new page or the page refreshes. They will receive the “Content Blocked” notification on their browser.
Window (application) Up to 60 secs The application will force close, and they will receive a prompt on their screen, “[Application] is blocked”.
