You can allow a specific website or app while blocking the rest of its category or theme. For example, allow Cool Math Games for a lesson while keeping other gaming websites blocked. Classroom Manager applies the more specific rule, so both rules can work together.
Allow a website and block its category
In this example, you allow Cool Math Games and block the Gaming category. To do this:
In the class toolbar, select Rules.
In the Active Rules tab, select Create Rule. The New Class Rule panel appears.
In the Add items field, start typing Gaming, then select it from the Signatures and Categories list.
Select Block, select Whole class, then select Create Rule.
Select Create Rule again.
In the Add items field, start typing Cool Math Games, then select it from the list.
Select Allow, select Whole class, then select Create Rule.
Students can now use Cool Math Games, but other gaming websites stay blocked. You can add the rules in either order.
Tip
To use these rules in other classes, add them to a list in your Rules Library. Both rules can be in the same list.
