Locked rule error message

This article is for Teachers.

If you see a Locked rule error message, it means you've created a rule that contradicts a Locked policy in School Manager. You can’t override Locked policies with Classwize Rules. If your rule contradicts a Locked policy, Classwize will inform you and stop you from creating the rule. For example, creating a rule that allows Spotify when your school has blocked it.

If your school has a Locked policy with an Object Pool, you won't receive this prompt, but you'll notice that your Classwize rule won’t be working. In either case, you need to contact your school’s IT Support for assistance.
